Fall Author Boutique Spotlight: Meet Fyre Hart

One of the things I'm enjoying most about putting together The Fall Author Boutique has been getting to know the incredible authors who will be joining us. Before I started planning this event, many of these writers were names on book covers or faces on social media. Now, I've had the chance to hear their stories, learn what inspires them, and discover the unique journeys that led each of them to become an author.
I thought it would be fun to introduce you to some of these amazing people before the event, so you'll have a chance to get to know the authors behind the books. My hope is that by the time September 26, 2026 rolls around, you'll feel like you're meeting old friends instead of strangers. (And honestly, I have a feeling that's exactly how the afternoon is going to feel.)
Today, I'm excited to introduce Fyre Hart, author of imaginative midlife fantasy. One of the things I love about Fyre's stories is that they remind us adventure doesn't have an expiration date. Her books blend magic, humor, and unforgettable characters into stories that celebrate courage, second chances, and discovering that life's greatest adventures can begin long after we think we've settled into who we are.
I had the chance to ask Fyre a few questions about her writing journey, what inspired her stories, her favorite characters, and what she's working on next. What kind of life experiences did you have before deciding to become a writer?
It's funny, I feel like all of my life experiences have led me here. I worked for an airline way back in the day, which cultivated a love of travel. I worked in an elementary school library, which continued my love of books. And taking care of my mom at the end of her life showed me I can do really hard things.
Your books combine midlife with fantasy worlds and ancient prophecies. What inspired you to bring those elements together?
A trip to Scotland, which was supposed to be for a romance series. I had no intention of writing a fantasy series, but looking out over Loch Lomond, it was impossible not to be inspired. By the time I got home, I had this whole series created. For the midlife main character, that's me right now. I find it hard to write teenagers or even twenty year olds, so I decided midlife was the perfect age for my character to start over and write an exciting new chapter for herself.
You base your stories in Celtic lands. What is it about those settings that draws you in?
The trip to Scotland made me want to dig in and research their mythology and folklore.
It's fascinating.
Do your worlds come to you first, or your characters?
For this book, the world came first. I had an image of the world by the time I got home and needed to figure out the characters.
What's your favorite magical element you've created?
The island (or isle, as the natives call it). The island was created to contain the Darkness (evil). And as the series progresses, we learn the island is not passive in the fight against the Darkness. It was a happy surprise to discover that, lol.
Have you ever written a scene that made you laugh out loud—or cry—while writing it?
I've had quips or comments that make me smile. In book 3, which I just finished, I have a scene that left me really sad. But, I think it's necessary for the story's purpose.
In just eight months, your first two books have earned more than 430 combined reviews on Amazon and Goodreads while maintaining an impressive 4.5-star rating or higher. That's an incredible accomplishment! Do you follow your reviews, and if so, what has it been like to see readers embrace your work so quickly?
It's been really affirming to write what feels right for me (midlife & empowered women) and to see that readers resonate with that. I really love what I'm writing, so hopefully that comes through in the story.
What has been your favorite part of becoming a published author?
Hands down, meeting readers. I love in-person events and hearing what readers like- even if it winds up not being my books.
You're currently working on the third book in the Mythical Midlife Series. What can readers look forward to that they haven't seen in the first two books?
In book 3 we have a romance, a favorite character starts sliding into madness, and we learn more about both Ka-Hul and Queen Serela.
You will be one of eight featured authors at the Fall Author Boutique in St. Augustine, Florida, on September 26. What are you most looking forward to about the event?
I am very much looking forward to hanging out with a bunch of people who love books! I also love St. Augustine, so excited that I get to visit the city again.
